420 online dating meaning
Today, it's prevalent with pretty much anyone who uses marijuana, although more so in North America. There are even 420 dating sites catering to people with this interest.
As a dating expert originally from the West Coast of Canada, this question comes up often.Reach out on Facebook or Twitter and let me know your thoughts.Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc.it would seem to me that its an unnecessary and actually rather forward question. do you really want to date somebody stupid enough to answer yes to something that can get them locked in a small steel box for a number of years, not to mention lose their job and get investigated by DYFUS and then post their picture and their locality next to it? I've seen quite a few profiles answering Yes to that question. as Mark Twain said, every man needs a vice or he is in danger of letting his virtue become his vice, which is the greatest vice of all.One of the local people looks like someone I'd be interested in getting to know, but they have "Yes" next to that, and I have that I want nothing to do with the drug scene in my profile and the "Does not do drugs" filter marked. OT, the 420 reference does generally refer to people who do pot/weed/herb, or whatever you want to call it. weed is my only vice and as far as I can see, its probably the least harmful of all the vices outside of its absurd legal implications, which I've been living with so long that I've become inured to.It can also cause attention problems (people who are high on pot are often easily distracted, which could take their focus from the task at hand).
And let's not get started on what could happen if the drug is laced with something, which can be quite common.
This comes from my own personal experience with the drug (mainly how I've seen other people react when high, but also from the few times I smoked pot when I was younger... I personally think that it should be illegal to drive while heavily influences by any substance, which includes alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, hash, heroin, whatever.
Unfortunatly it is much easier to detect alcohol on someone's breath via the use of a breathalyzer than it is to detect the presence of drugs. You can see symptoms of drug use (for example red eyes) but many visible signs of drug use can be caused by other things (red eyes could be caused by allergies...
Yet when I'm in my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, it's rare to see a dating profile where '420 friendly' isn't mentioned in some way. I've talked to many who don't see smoking marijuana as a problem, or who would rather date a person who already approves of their choice. Do you mention anything 420-related in your online dating profile?
In my neck of the woods, '420' commonly appears in dating site profiles, and I've had quite a few folks tell me they're uninterested in dating unless their potential partner is a pot smoker, activist, or at the very least, tolerant of its occasional use. Does it matter to you if your date is open to marijuana use, or dead set against it?
Okay, what exactly does it mean when a girl says she is 420 friendly? The apocryphal tale behind this is that in the afternoon is considered the best time of day to smoke marijuana because that is when many kids get home from school and their parents aren't home two on the apocryphal tale.
